Assessments
At Communicating Above Barriers, assessments are a critical part of our approach to understanding and supporting your child’s communication needs. These assessments can be informal, including observations of your child, consultations with your child’s school, and questionnaires about your child’s development.
Formal or standardized assessments are used by our Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to evaluate overall achievement and compare your child’s performance with peers of the same age and sex. These standardized assessments may require more than one session to complete.
